It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Magaly Barroso as a human resources and people leadership professional. I have known Magaly for over twelve years, nine of which I spent working with her in the capacity of system director for human resources at Miami Children’s Hospital Health System while I served in various leadership roles including vice president of clinical operations. With over a thousand employees within my scope of responsibility, my interactions with Magaly were regular and often times extensive. Magaly was great to work with. Her ability to coach me and other executives came almost as second nature. She provided guidance in a manner which provided us with options instead of directives, allowing each executive to understand risks not only from an HR perspective but from a business and strategy perspective as well. This is one of the qualities I most appreciated about Magaly as I never felt “told”, I always felt collaborated with.
